Srlxy Neutral Newbie October 2, 2007 Share October 2, 2007 Hi Guys, I've got a nextbase DVB-T set and I find that the reception is ver lousy with it. Was wondering if it is possible to just purchase a better antenna to get better reception? Is it best to source for 1 at Sim Lim Tower and I'm looking for internal type of antenna not those external types. What's the price range like? Or is it just best to get another better reciever? Thanks for helping! ↡ Advertisement
Starengine Neutral Newbie October 2, 2007 Share October 2, 2007 Tune to TV mobile, if the signal is strong and reception is ok, means it's not the receiver or tuner problem, getting a better antenna may help.
Srlxy Neutral Newbie October 3, 2007 Author Share October 3, 2007 Thanks bro! TV Mobile does not have much of a problem and can view when moving but Ch 5,8 and CNA when moving can't recieve any signal at all. Maybe I should go and source for a better antenna. Kelpie 2nd Gear October 6, 2007 Share October 6, 2007 1. Since when Nextbase has good TV reception beside TV Mobile? When I called the agent, they told me honestly that you can only get TV mobile but not the rest of the channels. 2. You want better reception for 5 & 8 just invest on digital dual receiver lor. Kiteman 2nd Gear October 8, 2007 Share October 8, 2007 I have the DVB-T box from Innovasia and both antenna install in the rear bumper, can receive 5,8,CNA with minimum distortion even at East side (ECP) traveling at 100km/h. Hence I think the box does play a part. It's digital dual tuner box.

Kelpie 2nd Gear October 8, 2007 Share October 8, 2007 Yap, you want to receive more channels clearly, digital dual tuner is the way to go. So roughly how much do you pay for it? Nextbase one is $100+ but only TV Mobile. Regards,
