Ronnchee Clutched September 22, 2007 Share September 22, 2007 I also have something to share ... You must use exactly $100 to buy 100 chickens, which consist of small chicks ($0.10/each), hens ($3.00/each) and roosters ($6.00/each). So, with $100 in hand, how many small chicks, hens, and roosters (all add up to 100 checkens) can you buy. BTW, this is pri 4 maths.

Icekitten Clutched September 23, 2007 Share September 23, 2007 Thanks everyone for good try. So far 2-3 bros have managed to get correct answer of 7.83 minutes So what level of math question is this? The solution provided to arrive at 7.83 seems like an A.Maths formula. Which is only for upper Sec. But the question itself seems, like what Mummypenguin has said, a primary school math question. And you tutor Primary school maths right, from the past questions you've posted. Can you enlighten us?
Guyver 1st Gear September 23, 2007 Share September 23, 2007 Just a brain teaser Qn for you: 2 pipes takes 5 minutes to fill up a tank, and the smaller pipe alone takes 6 minutes more than the bigger pipe to fill the tank. How long would it takes for the bigger pipe to fill the tank alone? I will provide the answer shortly. Answer leh ....
Hobbiez Neutral Newbie September 23, 2007 Author Share September 23, 2007 Volume of Tank = V Big Pipe + Small Pipe = 5 minutes Big Pipe = t Small pipe = Time of Big pipe + 6 = t + 6 Each minute, Small pipe = V/(t+6) Each minute, Big pipe = V/t If multiply 5 minutes for each of them, it will be equal to V. Then solve for t = 7.
Mivec9 1st Gear September 24, 2007 Share September 24, 2007 This is a typical trial and error question. I'd would it is quite tiring question 70 chicks $7bucks 29 Hens $87 bucks 1 rooster $
Ronnchee Clutched September 24, 2007 Share September 24, 2007 Nah, it's a logic question. Where got so much time to do trial & error, the combination is too many. And hor, this is a pri 4 maths question.
