Lan cables(cat 5) as speaker cable?

Hi Bros,does any bros here have use the lan cables (cat 5) as speaker cable? Find the following articles quite interesting.

Lan cables specs is totally different from speaker cable.

The most you can use it is to use it to carry small signal like relay control, etc.

can b used becos it is screened so can filter off noise. helping in a way but the annaeled copper r hard to bend though.

Speaker cables are multi-strands, lan cable is single strand.

 

There is also impedance matching and a whole slew of specs to consider for certain applications.

There are reasons why different cables are made for different applications.

 

A belden coax cable for tv is 75 ohm. A 10base2 lan cable is also a coax but 50 ohm.

They may look the same, but they are different.

 

Of coz, if you want, you can use electrical power cable for speaker if you like.

From the webby u posted.........these kinda audio cables r not Lan Cat5 cables..........and they can be found at Sim Lim Square shops easily.
