Jonbummer Neutral Newbie September 16, 2007 Share September 16, 2007 read much abt the good product of Auto RX think there is a thread on it sometime back but cannot find it already anyway, just want to find out if there's any bro here in Singapore find good success after doing the Auto RX treatment? personally, i'm into the second rinse phase. then this happens, noticed that the engine oil burn and coolant got 'used' up too during these phase the sound is like loud 'tick-tick-tick', then from the side mirrors can observe a cloud of white smoke (previously only 'tick-tick-tick' sound but no white smoke) did an extensive search, and from Bitog that it occurs to some who are in the same phase. Oil burn. one guy suggest just to top up the oil and continue to use dino oil for the next oil change. then it shld be fine... after which can try syn or semi-syn oil i do hope so. ↡ Advertisement
Ody_2004 Turbocharged September 17, 2007 Share September 17, 2007 I was in the rinse phase when oil burn like mad! For every 1500km i need to top up 1 litre of engine oil. But again maybe my engine 300,000km was too much damaged, piston rings and such. Never got the final result as the car was sold away before it end the rinse phase. Madsumm 1st Gear September 18, 2007 Share September 18, 2007 Interesting, but you need Group III engine oil to use with it (Mineral Oil). Mine cannot use mineral. Also, do you know if this can be used for Direct Injection engine? Rgds

Perrier 1st Gear September 18, 2007 Share September 18, 2007 I am using Lube Control 20 at this moment for maintenance purposes. I was wondering if the RX is more specifically meant for intensive cleaning of the engine. If so, I may consider trying out this treatment as my ride is about 70,000km. I just wonder if ARX is able to work with CVT fluid on my CVT tranny.
Perrier 1st Gear September 18, 2007 Share September 18, 2007 Thanks again. I was trying to look for someting for my transmission fluid. great info.
Jonbummer Neutral Newbie September 18, 2007 Author Share September 18, 2007 LC20 is good. tried using it to clear carbon, and it works nicely Auto RX, to me, is like a slow engine flush. whereas engine flush can be too detrimental to the seals, Auto RX seems to condition the seals. also recently i realized perhaps i shall use MobilOne High Mileage oil rather than the AutoRX but oh well.... to your qnn of transmission, i not clear on that but did google something on it before and managed to recover it: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/engi...ansmission-86k/ http://www.auto-rx.net/ cheers
Ody_2004 Turbocharged September 18, 2007 Share September 18, 2007 I did on transmission too! yes it become smoother.
Perrier 1st Gear September 18, 2007 Share September 18, 2007 I guess mine doesn't warranty that kinda maintenance if I maintain my usage of LC20. Nice info though ↡ Advertisement
