If I finished Polished, then seal, can I use AW as wax and how long will AW last as wax? Should I apply collinite wax instead and use AW after that? Please advise Benny.

Maddetailer, I brought a #476 from you a couple of months back and I must say an 'impressive' wax, no regret [thumbsup]. Last week, I have coated a two layers of sealant and topped off with #476 [sweatdrop] but [sunny] [sunny] until 'the ant slipped and fell off'. After a week, small dotted Tar can be seen all over the place & oxidation started to form [smallcry]. If I use #101 or clay, all my sealant & wax will be ripped off (what a waste). May I ask, what is the best & effective method to remove the stained Tar/road grime without removing of coated sealant and #476?

Hi Bro..wave.gif I guess is a white FD rite..for white..usually tar can be notice easily..actually if mild abrasive type of clay..it will not strip sealant or #476.. u can try to use a QD with good cleaning properties to clean away tars or road grimme.. i have tried #521 on white and it works..wink.gif

Maddetailer, rite, white FD, we met at Hougang Stadium. You are a good man. The #476 is real good wax, ease of application, wet & have a depth sliky look (attached pix). Can I ask you, after a few days on the #476, I run my finger on the surface, I can feel that the wax stick on my finger. It seems like the wax does not have a strong bonding into the surface although it can last. While I know that most of the wax will slowly wear off, is there any solution to extend the #476 and stay on the surface further? I'll call you tomorrow for the #521.

Some of us may encounter a little hazy after a day with Collinite#476 on the bonnet. This is what you can do to solve it.

1)Apply #476

2)Before buffing it away, spray DG#951 AW on it.Spread it with the applicator

3)Buff everything off..

Second

1)Instead of damping the wax applicator, spray a bit of #951AW on the applicator

2)Apply wax with the applicator damp with #951AW ..

3)Dun droolslaugh.gif

For DG#105

1)Use #101 to clean up surface.

2)If you are using #601 PBA,apply it after buffing #101 away.Let PBA haze for at least 15mins.

3)Spray a bit of #951 AW on the applicator,if you have those mist sprayer, spray a bit on surface,

4)Dun need to buff away PBA

5)Apply #105

6)Haze for 15mins and remove.

7)Dun droolslaugh.gif

Got a question. Can I drive off after I apply and buff off PBA and #105? Cos my part of my bonnet became hazy. Was wondering if I applied wrongly or it's due to the heat from the engine. Am I supposed to let it cure for at least 4 hrs before moving off? [confused][confused]

Hi Ken.. there is no problem driving off after applying #601 and #105.. few things to take note..

1) Try not to apply on hot surfaces

2) sometime uneven application may causes the patechy effect..

3) Surface prep is very impt.. Use #101 if necesssary

4) Always remember to apply thin layer.. try to dam wax applicator with water for application

5) If you encounter hazy..use a QD to run down it again..

Hi Bro.. thanks for the compliment..

the feeling is actually like the warm and oily rite? wax is basically another layer of coating .. dun worry abt #476 wearing off..it will last up to couple of mths..nod.gif
