Good workers tends to clash with the management for one reason or another. Imagine a fresh grad Capt with no sense of reality being your boss.

Yea this is true that getting honours degree, you can climb to capt in short span of time while the specialist work for years to get to staff serg.

Frankly speaking do u think it is possible? our star general just follow the system laid down by government or mindef. They just warm the seat then move on to public sector

Sorry dig up old thread, but I don't want to start new thread.

Lately I see quite a few new ARMY, Airforce and Navy commercials. Are they trying to one up each other? or is it really no body want to sign on?

And the commercials like target to the young and impressionable. using teenage boys to show they super admire/awed by the Navy guy.

If the teenage boys have talk to NSmen or regulars, will know it is tough career. So is there a need to be so biased in the commercial to show its so adventureous, got beach and babes or else cannot attract pubescent boys to sign on?

When you see such ads, it means poly/JC/sec exam results are coming out soon.

Izzit?? Didn't see the commercials, but then again, I hardly watch any TV, especially not mainstream TV. Well, with the reputation they have, who could blame them for trying a different approach?

Yup, there is a lack of manpower. I can say so for the Navy. They have laid up two vessels due to lack of regulars and now on a push for recuritment. [lipsrsealed] And hearsay there is not enough manpower for the last frigate. [knife]

Join the navy, young man out there!!! The Navy needs U!!! :D
