Air Con Problem (VW Bora)

Just got the word from VW... My dryer and compressor is screwed...

 

Was quoted $2000++ including parts and labour... NB...

Maybe CAG & Servo can help you source for a 2nd hand one .....

In contact with Alex from CAG. He's sourcing a 2nd compressor for me... Estimated around $600... Servo only have new ones which costs about $800...

How old is your Bora?

Have you replaced your compressor before?

 

Check the fuse. The last time mine had the same problem. Fan blowing full force, but air not cold, R134A is still full. i sent it back to (the now defunk) C&C and was diagnosed with blown fuse. Small problem, small cost... but waited one day for it to be done. They just replaced the fuse and it was ok. But took them one day.

Nope so I guess it's about time that thing died...

 

The fuses are all checked and all working...

He hasn't gotten back to me yet... I just sent in my car to a recommended mechanic at Alexander Village...
