Air Con Problem (VW Bora)

Anyone can recommend me a good place for me to service my car's aircon? Everything looks fine but the air is not cool. Just took my car to Wee Heng Aircon (along Woodlands Road) but they could not find the source of the problem. The freon gas is still fully charged.

My last resort is to bring the car back to VW. Any kind souls out there please advise and recommend. Thanks!!

It is not the freon, its more complicated than that. Don't think you air-con is like the common one outside. need specialized ppl who really know the VW well. Sorry, i can't recommend you any that I know of.

For me I don't trust anybody, so no choice go back to AD. Maybe very expensive, but at least they are accountable and responsible for the work carried out. Outside beware, they may damage other related electronic and electrical component w/o your/their knowledge and after a while more problem creeps in until you do not know what really happen. In the end actually spend more than AD and also time wasted. The original compressor unit is really unique, it doesn't cut in and out like the jap/korean type. U will noticed that it runs smoothly whether the aircon on or off, unlike the common type. My view.

Was thinking of sending in my car to VW and let them ascertain the problem... Get a quotation and will see how from there...

You are right... Bring your car back to the agent has it's pros but at the same time will burn a hole in your wallet if the problem turns out to be a major one... I hope mine is just a simple job and won't burn too big a hole...

Don't need lah. My B5.5 Passat aircon was fully done by Moto-Aire. #01-88, Sin Ming Industrial Park C. It's the block next to the open field facing Autocare building. Look for Ah Zhuan. I call him God of Aircon. He's done miracles for my Alfa 156 and Passat.

It's not rocket science, its the electronics sensors and computerization that is alien to outside workshop, unless they have worked in VW or the German workshop and know what is involved beside the standard stuff like temp sensor, expansion v/v, compressor & clutch, dryer, thermostat, fast idle etc.etc. Nowadays, U need the analyzer with the correct data and software to check your car for problem solving, and that include air-con for car like VW.

Everything is okie just the air con is not cool... Don't know why so I just sent my car into VW for them to check... Won't let them do the job as it'll cost me an atomic bomb... I just want them to tell me what's wrong and i'll find someone to do it for me outside...
