yes its a good car

of coz except that taxi companies are using it.

i tink that's one big major turn off.

FC is decent for a 2 litre or 2.4 litre car.

for the 2.4 litre, it hovers ard 10-10.5km/litre. which is acceptable

2litre ard 10.5km. somehow i feel that the 2 litre isnt that fuel efficient. maybe its lugging a heavy car? maybe the car wasnt designed for the 2litre engine (2litre variant is actually for the singapore market), i donno.

anyway, yes becos taxi companies will change the whole fleet to sonatas, this is one car i'll avoid.

but i tink it can be overcome.

i've seen maroon colored sonatas with huge chrome rims

make the car look significantly different and outstanding.

but bear in mind, with huge rims, its better to get the 2.4litre version. can handle the unsprung weight better

anyway, great car u'll be getting

very spacious, huge boot space, nice looking exterior and very quiet engine.

only thing which i'll really prefer is to have cruise control and rear aircon.

Hi bros,is NF sonata a gd car?Fuel consumption?

My dad is driving the 2 liter Sonata. FC abt 9 to 10km for city driving. Power wise is adequate (I feel its powerful compared to wat i drive which is a latio) Only thing I dun like is the heavy power steering. Engine is quiet though..

I find it strange here. It was commented before that Sonata has one of those lightest steering around among the bigger sedan. Unless you are telling me that Latio steering is even lighter and you can make a u-turn with one finger?

U can try looking at the KIA Magentis. It has more bells and whistles than Sonata.

It will be more ideal if they have Sonata exterior with Magentis interior.

I drove the previous model Sonata (2002), overall it's a pretty reliable car for me, never breaks down, build quality good and quiet too. Only downside is the fc and the steering.

Which part of the steering that have shortcomings?

techincally, not sure how to call it but is just that when i'm doing u-turn/parking that needs full steering turns, the moment you're at the "end" of the turn, the steering doesn't "cushion" the end-stop, so i tends to "hit" the the extreme left/right steering turning. sorry if i'm using very lay man speech here cos really don't know how to describe in technical terms.

Avante has heavy steering? That's the 1st time I'm hearing this. When I test-drove it, I found the steering so light that it's like driving a toy...
