meecar, is it after 10yrs, when ur COE expires, u just have to bid for another one. And the new one lets u drive it for another 10 yrs.

 

and the penalty is just increased road tax every yr after the 10th.??

wah lau... 200,000 miles = 320,000km.... I used to click max 3500km per month and thats runing north, south, east & west like a mad dog everyday... 1 year only 42,000km, got to drive around 7 yrs to reach that kind of millage....

doesn't really matter for us does it? hardly anyone in singapore drives until that kind of mileage. always by 5th year or so sell car alr.
hmm...possible ah.... mine only 2.5 yrs already done 110k km le.....

i jus sold my old car(my mums) close to 3 years, mileage was around 121k. i muz say that car served us very well. [cool]

Yes, with the impending COE hike, car prices might be on the upward trend again, and people might be forced to keep cars for longer than they have been used to in the past 5 years.

 

The good times might be coming to an end.
