Hi all,

how do i get rid of a stale interior smell tat seems to linger in my car?

thought of either changing the Aircon system (around 1k), steam cleaning the fabric seats, or maybe even changing the seats to leather ones.

Is there any company in sg that cleans/freshens up the interior of the car?

Appreciate all inputs

i saw this in the BMW forum. they said turn on a/c to full blast on a very hot day and put it to the hottest. let it run like tat, with ur engine on of course, for 10-15mins. or u can try this while driving back home at nite, with windows down.

the heat is supposed to kill all the stupid bacteria and odour or stale smell.

those who tried it all said it works so it's probably worth trying! :)

i can't do this method, cos i had my heating component removed. The A/C system doesn't have the heat from the engine as the mechanic removed it the last time, told me its not needed in Hot Hot Singapore.

hei bro, just the other day chance upon one motoring website and theres this advertisement section in which a "vomit bag" can be bought and to be place inside your car to absorb nasty smells.there are some sandy particles i tink in these bags and they act like the "thirsty hippo" product but instead of sucking in moisture, it sucks/absorbs in unwanted smells.maybe u wanna to give it a try?

worst case scenario...easiest way out, just put pandan leaves lor.. [thumbsup]

try it too many times and we can start to see premature deterioration or aging of the interior.
