Route 66 Updates (N6110)

Anyone has gotten the updates yet? How much did you pay for it and the steps to do it? The map I got is updated as at Q3 2007.

can be verified under Extra, Maps in the nvaigator

 

Should be Euro9.99 or about S$20

I dl the Singapore map from R66 online store. It still show Q32006.

Overall a good phone... Almost the same functions as the N95 but at a much lower price... The sliding feature is sturdy as compared to the previous sliders... GPS link up is fast (mustn't have an overhead obstruction when doing the linkup)...

 

Just one thing to note... GPS will sap up your battery power rather fast...

i agree .... batt life not ideal but if just use for making calls and SMS, still acceptable. If only batt life could be longer ..... it would be ideal .....

my set comes with the cradle and car charger free. so battery life using GPS no biggie

The GPS system is really handy... I've already used it on a number of occasions when I need to find super ulu places to send my brochures to... Would be looking to upgrade the map but seems like Route 66's site is down...

How do I know which map version is my 6110 using ah?

 

I a little unfamiliar with my new 6110 as I've been SE supporter last time.

My 6110 saved me from getting lost at Sungei Kadut, SengKang recently too!

 

I was glad I got this HP instead of other models.

Go to the Navigator mode and on to options... Choose map and select the Singapore map... Then select it and an option called show information... Select it and it'll show you the map version...

That's the default map they give... I guess as and when you would need to pay them to download updated maps when they are available...
