I am in the midst of deciding to install a Anti-Vandal SpyCam recording on SD card for my car. Want to seek advise from those who had assessed both the CyberEye and GeniusGuard cam product and to recommend which is value for money and effective. Please advice if there is other product recommendation.

The cybereye list price for one cam is $599. I believe can get some discount, coz the list price has been unchanged since 2004. Looking at the poll result, think I will drop by Prestige tomm to have a look and ask for a good bargain.

Those bros who voted "others", pls share and recommend if there are other better alternative car surveillance product.

This is cool, did not know such product exist in SG. But looking at the pic, any potential vandals see the big cam at the front windscreen, guess all will restrain themselves. But record on hardisk tapping on 12V batt not so common though. I'll drop by their office to take a look.

anti crime approach

deterrent is always no. 1, verbal warning like "viper arm" integral will help to ward off attack. attackers typically select soft targets. unless they come specifically for you.

taking such pix (recently was a case in fook hai bldg) is hard to prove but in tat case, the victim was a lawyer.

but be careful..

more likely resolution r poor.

same as the one i show.

only pix 1 is fr the cam. the others r not.

may not b tendered as evidence in court.

Go to Sim Lim Tower basement, there is a electronics shop there next to the stairs to the URA parking lots. This shop sell lots of gadgets. One of the uncle there showed me one such anti-vandal camera. It records to a harddisk.

Do have a look. [thumbsup]

I went to the Prestige office, the CyberEye which is b/w is no longer available. What is selling now is the CyberCam, a portable SD card console with built-in LCD and 1 color cam for $799.

As for GeniusGuard latest VR Gold is selling for at least $1399 for 1 cam, pretty exp.

Heard that Sim Lim square has some shop selling a all-in-one kind of 3 camera bundle, meaning 1 cam face in front, 2 cam at an angle towards both the side windows. Basically, it is installed behind the rear mirror. Anyone had any idea which shop is selling it and what is the damage?

abt 1 month ago, 1 lawyer in fook hai building caught a neighbor tenant vandalising his car and sue the bugger. pix was published. resolution looks good. feller was so towkay admit guilt when confronted.

bottomline is get a good cam recorder and set at high res.

otherwise, use the evidence to plot ur revenge.
