Microsoft Outlook Address Book

Hmmm....anyone know how to back up the address book from your outlook mail ? Need to reformat the pc, I know where my email msg stored, but I cant seem to find where my address book store.

hmmmm thank you but dun have address book leh. These are what I have in it :

 

outcmd.dat

outlook.fav

outlook.nk2

outlook.srs

 

by the way what are they ?

In MS Outlook:

 

1. click "File" and click "Import and Export..."

2. select "Export to a file", and click Next

3. select "Personal Folder File (.pst)", and click Next

4. select the folder you want to export from (select the top folder and check "Include subfolders), and click next

5. choose where you want your file to be saved and the file name

6. click finish

 

You file will be in PST format.

 

To restore, just import this file (refer to no 1.).

 

Method 2

Or search for the file with *.PST and copy the file to another location.

Hmmmm....that one is all the message in your in/out etc..box...not address book leh... unless these data will include your address ? Which I doubt so as I use to backup these file and they never backup my address book.

it does include your address book and contact list..... well, at least OLK2003 does .....
