Sw20 2nd Gear September 1, 2007 Share September 1, 2007 Some suspension for certain models of cars or suspension do knock. Like my friend hated teins on his rex... becos of knocking sound... after he change to cusco, the sound is gone. I am using teins, and luckily i do not have that knocking sound. Have a check with your mechanic who installed it... Cheers
Ceratoisthebest Neutral Newbie September 1, 2007 Share September 1, 2007 I change to D2. I also experience the knocking sound. I went back to the installer and have it replaced. Then my sound is gone. U might wanna go back and have it checked. They will do something to it.
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear September 1, 2007 Share September 1, 2007 I do have that knocking sound after i have changed to lowering springs & aftermarket shocks But the sound will go off after a while til the next morning when i start my ride & turn my steering to move off from the carpark lot again Send to the agent and they checked the steering system and told me it's due to my aftermarket springs But i have learn to live with it for almost 1.5 years liao
Bennking Neutral Newbie September 1, 2007 Share September 1, 2007 tein is notorious for their irritating knocking sound.. i personnally experienced them with my old car fitted with tein, but now with my stock STI suspension, it also happens.. got my mechanic to remove the spring, apply some grease into the suspension "shaft" (the shiny part of the suspension, not sure about the correct term) and the sound is gone.. tedious process, your mechanic must have the time to do it. and the sound will happen again after a few months. Mzrmazda3 6th Gear September 1, 2007 Share September 1, 2007 (edited) Some put a rubber tubing onto their springs to reduce/elimate this knocking sound and i believe 'Tein' has it Edited September 1, 2007 by Mzrmazda3

Yeobh 4th Gear September 4, 2007 Share September 4, 2007 It's great to be a mechanics, no responisblity at all after the work is done and payment in pocket. Looks like the car owners have to pull thier own hairs to solve problems created by their mechanics due to wrong/poor decisions or recommedations . Vesfreq Neutral Newbie September 10, 2007 Share September 10, 2007 Not only notorious. Now, I'm even thinking of getting rid of my current teins once they die out, if I can find something else better. My mech did the same think. He applied something into the same part. Sound went off for a while, until wtf one of the workshops replaced my rotor. Whenever I brake, the front shock would give out a conk sound!!!! I went back to the workshop, the mech told me that the shocks are gone liao, must change. I hear liao damn dulan. After I went to ST powered, all solve. 1/2 hour job. u r rite also, the sound may return. cos'... mine got some sound again. Not very jialat. At least, not annoying until
