What can i and can i not put in a mircowave?

 

can i put a plastic plate? metal plate ? glass plate?

No metal ware of any kind allowed in Microwave ovens... If it's plasticware, make sure it's microwavable... Those normal melamine plasticware cannot be used in microwave ovens... Glass and porcelain ware should be okie...

Try not to put too long. i actually used it a few times before it get burnt. i remember i was heating up garlic bread [sweatdrop]

I was told plastic will released some form of chemical into the food when heated up in microwave. but dunno its true or just a myth

Normally most of the think with very shiny and reflective surface don't put it into the microwave. Metal of any kind is for sure a no no. You if put a large reflective metal into the microwave you can cook the microwave instate of the food. All the microwave bounce back to the microwave itself.

I got one very mis-informed colleague who put his metal thermos into the microwave oven... He wanted to heat up the water for his tea... End up there's this metallic smell coming from the oven and there was a power trip... It didn't take long for us to locate the source as smoke was coming out from the oven... The plastic handle has completely melted... He bought a new oven to replace the old one the next day...
