Apollo 1st Gear August 19, 2007 Share August 19, 2007 all perishable need to have extnded shelf life. chemical is easy way out even though they still hv deep freezing which brings the core temperature of the freshes down to sub-zero. and usually these heavier fruits r transported, they looses tat sub-zero temperature beri fast, so thaw freeze cyclic not good for them. the waxing chemical is to ensure when temperature fall, the air does not contaminate the freshs.
