Observer 4th Gear November 1, 2007 Share November 1, 2007 earn 2X ocbc pts promo over don't know how many months liao. if you pump caltex, now use HSBC can get Peel and Win card. http://www.hsbc.com.sg/1/2/personal/cards/...efits-at-caltex After reading through the posts, just to double check. I have both the OCBC Card and UOB Card. If im not wrong, OCBC will give me rewards at caltex, UOB will give in Shell. Which is a better bargain? OCBC right? Kingkong 5th Gear November 2, 2007 Share November 2, 2007 (edited) And Caltex 300pts = $10 petrol w/o discount Shell 700pts = $10 petrol w/ discount UOB only platinum card gives 5% rebate, while other UOB cards give 3% rebate. OCBC / HSBC 5% discount is better. OCBC gives their platinum cards double pts. Edited November 2, 2007 by Kingkong
Ultramega 1st Gear November 3, 2007 Share November 3, 2007 HUH!! 700 points then get $10??! that's more than double the points required for Caltex and Esso. Esso 750 points get $30! assuming 1 litre cost $1.60 after discount, to get 700 points at Shell need to spend $1120. 10/1120 * 100 = 0.89% KNN only 0.89%! for Caltex, $1.25 spent get 1 point. 300 points need to spend $375. 10/375 * 100 = 2.67% 2.67/0.89 = 3 wah, Caltex 3 times more rewards than Shell!
