Sakae Sushi

This afternoon was having lunch together with my family at the Sun Plaza outlet.

The menu , services and most important of all - the food is of much more higher quality than the Changi Airport and Toa Payoh branch which I have visited previously.

 

It seems that every of their outlets has different type of food for order.Wonder why ?

they offer delivery service too

free at certain days....

There was once about 10 of use waited almost 2 hours for all our food to be served. That was in sentosa outlet. Complained till siao..

yes this is true, the quality is not consistent throughout. They haven't mastered the art of franchise fully yet. I think Funan outlet has the best quality tasting food bar none.

Talk abt sushi, heard one of the 'royal family' members spent 50K on a sushi meal..

Anyway..try sushi tei...i think they are mush better than Sakae .

sakae sushi in my opinion is more like a fast food chain...firstly apart from the wasabi - it just do not taste japanese (i not saying it is not good, back lack the authentic japanese taste). but kudos to them for allowing any average singaporean to have a faint taste of japanese food.

 

when u pay peanuts u get monkey, same for the chef...(that explain the lack of consistency in cooking). every outlet taste differently.

i stop going after 4 visit, the price and food just don't feel right. i wonder why so many people are still flocking over.

Their standard has been deteriorating these few years.

 

Now, i prefer going to Waraku which has more varieties and better tasting stuff. On a better day, it's J-Toshi at M Hotel

Don't go Sakae. Its bad.

 

Sushi Tei is better but its not up to standard either. Maybe I got higher expectations but thats what you expect when you've tried the real thing in Japan. Make a trip there and try it for yourself. It is really different

Yup, as compared to Japan, Spore Japanese restaurant is nothing. Japan's sushi is more fresh & good!

Was at the outlet in HabourFront, saw that they used machine to make the sushi. All the while I believe that they use hand to make the sushi. Saw this machine that make sushi & the chef ( so call ) place the topping on top.

 

But its true that the standard has dropped over the years. The better outlets i tried are , Tiong Bahru Plaza, Funan & Bt Batok.
