Now alot of people are using the lancer EX and add some bdkit, rims etc. and claim that is the evo X pics. So i believe currently evo X pics are not out yet. Pick up will more likely be better compare to one who have change gear every now and then. I believe the clip posted is a very good example of a DSG vs MT. Wrcfan 1st Gear August 22, 2007 Share August 22, 2007 Not only NA engines, Turbo chargers are also laggy at low end b4 it spools, thats why those models that are 5 speed either come with tiny turbos or with twin scroll turbos(new breed of turbos) which aren't idea for big hp but have less turbo lag. 6spd is therefore preferred for those who want big hp with big turbos as rev band is closer. Tat properbly the reason why Subaru has come up with 2.5l engines to compensate the low end lag with higer torque figs at lower rpm & VW came up with the TC & SC engine of the Golf GT. Ashley1108 1st Gear August 22, 2007 Author Share August 22, 2007 This is solely on my own opinion Abit of insight, DSG is R & D by European country and initially licensed to Volkswagen Group. For Japan, they'll try never to purchase a technology from european country and used it for their cars when pride is concerned. Moreover to them, JDM cars are always a better car compare to whatever european side have. As a result, Japan side started a R & D by Mitsubishi Motors. It's base on the platform of a DSG. Thus for R & D using the platform of DSG, wouldnt it be far more superior then DSG? Definitely this is just my assumption without touching on the complicated specs and technology yet. I doubt i would like to touch on that since my knowledge on it wouldnt be as vast as those who studied it in details.
