Washing rides - Which do you do?

i wash outside then inside.

 

by the way any water saving tips? seems these days the $0.25 for 2 pails of water are getting lesser.

to save water, dun use hose. just use cloth will do. 1 pail of water is usually enuf for me and i wash once every few mths

i find my area quite a lot unlike those 20 cent ones. those even worse.

 

actually it depends how dirty is your car. if more dirty definitely use slightly more water.

 

anyway here's my usual procedure:

 

1. clean and vacuum interior

2. clean wheels

3. wash car then wheels again

4. dry car, door sills, boot and engine compartment

5. wipe windows and windscreen from the inside

i use cloth also. normally 2 pails is just nice if save save use. but when i shampoo.....

quite the same as me leh, except i dun do point 2 and i clean engine and boot last.

always wash from top down.Just like what you'll do when you're bathing...

wanna 'safe' water ? Bring it from your house.......that's what I do always....

Yup, my last wash was 6 weeks ago getting too lazy to wash. i rem many years ago when i had my first car, i washed it twice a day

silver. its looks all right from far. but if i stand close i can see a layer of dust on it

I used 5 pails leh...

 

1st pail to splash the car to remove any particles on it in prevention of scratching the car body while I uses cloth or sponge to wipe it.

 

2nd pail put shampoo and shampoo the car from the top and then finally the wheels. The remaining left is splash on the top of the car.

 

3rd pail and 4th pail use to remove the shampoo.

 

Last pail for interior wiping.

 

Then Dry the exterior with cloth. Rims is last to be done.

Some moon ago when I just got my first ride ,I wash it weekly eventhough my MSCP is about 3 blocks away.

Initially I will use those 'market trolley' use by auntie all around us to fetch a pile of water to the carpark.

Later on , got tired of doing it.I just leave the pile of water downstair and just drove the car over
