sweet then. i like getting it done simply. what i want is vw sg "base spec" plus the partition with plexiglass covering the "grill". grills over the rear windows. Only one sliding door and the ventilators.

Vince was the SE who served me. He mentioned that the 1.9TDI Caddy comes in only 1 configuration, no choice.

Perhaps the Caddy can be customized but it will cost $$$ and time (for special indent).

A piece of good news is that the Caddy in Singapore is not from the VW China plant but from VW Poland.

nothing going for it except the gearbox

the engine is pretty much on par with those in the berlingo and combo, which berlingo being the cleanest engine of all eurovans, and combo being the relatively cheaper all rounder with 4 disc compared to 2 disc for caddy, also using torsion with springs instead of 2 pathetic leaf springs on caddy

caddy and doblo vans have the worst rear suspensions, rear "workers" will have a field day

in terms of reliable workhorses, the renaults and the peugeot-citroens are still a diff league away from the rest, still see so many of those 7 to 8 yrs running around

Leaf springs are way better in load carrying vehicles, esp since they allow for an increased load carrying capacity (isnt that what eurovans are for anyway?). Thats prolly why the the caddy can carry 750kg and the combo only 520kg's. I wouldnt call them pathetic in this case.
