When you subrogate your TPL claim to your insurer, it is up to your insurer to recover the amount.  Your insurer can always sue the insurer, driver or owner directly to recover the cost

 

I kenna bang backside before.  Claims against culprit.  My premium did not goes up le.

 

If premium goes up, you can go around & hunt the best rate.

 

1 of my previous company mechanic was involved in OD claims 2 times in 1 year.  I got 3 premium quote and the diff is a much as $1k le.

i use broker only for company's cars... for my own car I deal with insurer direct... hmmm... I should try asking my broker then... great tip thanks

beside the photo whose car deliberately reverse to hit, by adopting a safe braking distance to the front car should get you out of most trouble.

 

if the car braked out out of no reason, we can send the video to TP for evaluation of reckless driving on the driver. it is very hard to prove a staged accident since you hit the car in front, you are wrong. The driver can be reckless but there is no excuse to keep safety driving distance.

I don't think that is the uber driver. The facebook comments mentioned that this car was sold earlier this year. The video shows the previous owner before the car convert to private hire.

can we send lawyer letter to him? or call ambulance to send to hospital so that the driver cannot run away.

In this type of man-made accident, the best way is to call 999 report injuries neck pain head pain whatever. All parties will then be "tied down" by police involvement and guilty parties will have less chance to MIA, give false statements, etc. Subsequent claims or law suit will be much easier.
