Zxcvb Turbocharged August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 Was keen of being a part-time driving/riding instructor. Gotten class 3 and 2 license. Anyone knows what are the steps, details, pay and job hazard in being one? Just curious, but not quitting my current job of coz. Any inputs appreciated. ↡ Advertisement
Ccssgm 1st Gear August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 TP No More Issue Driving Instructor Licence. Can Enquiry and Try Driving Test Centre But Only on Full Time Job..
Albeniz Turbocharged August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 Issuing of private instructor licence has stopped many years ago. Gahman probably want to keep this lucrative pie to themselves. You can only register as an employee under driving schools, getting pathetically low monthly pay.
Huggable Clutched August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 Do you have a clean driving record? If yes, you can apply at any driving centre. Huggable has 2, 3, 4, 5, but was rejected at a local school as he was awarded demerit points before. You'll be required to work in shifts, even on Sunday, and as a motorbike instructor, you'll need to brave the hot sun, bad weather. Not really hazardous unless freak accidents. You can PM uncle David for more details.
Shull Turbocharged August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 (edited) IIRC, there's a scheme under BBDC that you can use your own car(HONDA ONLY) and work as instructors under them..details i am not sure..but might be, petrol & service you pay yourself..you get what you earn minus out a sum of money which you pay to them as 'loyalty' for using their brand and booking system.. how i know? my gf thinks one of her instructor is under this scheme..coz a few times he brings her to outside petrol pump and pump petrol(BBDC has it's own pump..they buy petrol wholesale from SHELL)..and sometimes after her lesson ends, the instructor just remove the L plate and drove out of the circuit using the car machiam his own car liddat.. Jazz 2nd Gear August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 Need to take additional driving lessons or courses to become an instructor ?
Terenc3 1st Gear August 7, 2007 Share August 7, 2007 You're right.. Normally BBDC's Civic is silver in colour and their BBDC and numbering logo are all sticked on.. For other colours, mainly blue civics, with the logo and numbers magnetically sticked there are all 'private' instrsuctors under the wing of BBDC. Next thing you can differentiate is the HU. BBDC car no radio nor HU. But the private one got.. =) I sat in one with powerful sound system b4.. Hahaha..

Auron 2nd Gear August 11, 2007 Share August 11, 2007 even if u can be part-time driving instructor... as ppl here mentioned, TP no more issuing out to private... have u consider 2 things. 1) insurance premium of your car will SHOOT up the sky. 2) installing of extra brake at the passenger side of your car.
