no such thing as useless.

you may have upgraded your rims and change your tires but the overall diameter and rolling circumference is supposed to be the same. your spare should have the same pcd as your current wheels.

so if you encounter puncture, still can use.

i removed mine when i changed my rims from 16" to 18". The new diameter of my wheels are way off the original so no point keeping the spare tyre

Signed up a package with the AD which has free towing service though [sly]

anyone remove their spare tyre? am on 15" and my spare is 14" or smaller unsure.gif it's useless.Thought of removing it to lessen load.

don't remove

for safety... rear collision, really helps

14 vs 15 not much difference... unless u upgraded from 14 to 18... then i suggest throw the 14 away. I've seen honda jazz on 18 before.

and lastly, who knows ur spare tyre might prove useful to help ur relatives/passer bys/colleagues etc.

if it comes with the car, it should be able to fit. Some spare tires are limited use spare tires. They are temporary tires that should not be driven over 80km/h. They are normally thinner than your normal tires, which makes it look like motorcycle tires but good enough for you to crawl your way to a repair shop.

your spare tire should have the same PCD as your current tires although you may have changed to a larger sized wheel.

if the overall diameter and rolling circumference is way off, you've got the wrong sized tire to fit the rims.

Else you'll need to recalibrate your speedometer to obtain the correct speed readings ....

who cares about oversized tyres when you are driving a truck [laugh]

well, with regards to the speedometer, i took note of the increase % in diameter and how that affects my speedometer reading. Always go 10% slower when approaching a speed camera.
