Pisces69 6th Gear August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 I think Axio using the normal type wiper. Just measure the length in inches or cm & go to any place that sells good wipers & replace it yourself. NWB seems a good buy. Value for $$$. I using those teflon coated wipers under brand Cape Force. Cost abt $8 ea only. Lasts abt 1 year b4 I need to change. Smooth wipe without any judder. Wipers come with a couple of adapters so any brand will fit most cars.

Subutai 3rd Gear August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 Depend on size/brand/make. I normally look see and buy from SPC petrols stations or Autobac if I am at west side... Jbee will be more affordable though.
Naufal Neutral Newbie August 1, 2007 Author Share August 1, 2007 Sorry, I meant the whole wipers not the blade
Pisces69 6th Gear August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 The Cape Force is from Homefix DIY Thomson Plaza. Most auto spare parts shops & petrol stations sell wipers for abt $8 each. I used to get NWB from the Esso at Yishun or those spare-parts shops for abt $8. They have the blue & orange box. I forget which is better but I think it's the blue box. Pisces69 6th Gear August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 Those $20 plus is Unless u driving a Merc or similar car & get from the AD's.
Pisces69 6th Gear August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 (edited) Normally u just change the wiper with the fixed attachment. Unless u also want to change the whole wiper arm that screws to the car at the base of the windscreen but the whole arm never spoil what? Unless somebody vandalise it & bent it badly out of shape? If change only the rubber part of the wiper blade, it is only abt $3 ea but very difficult & troublesome to just change that thin piece of rubber. Naufal Neutral Newbie August 1, 2007 Author Share August 1, 2007 Yeah I need to buy the whole wiper arms and all cos mine is not axio. Im driving cerato but hate the old design wiper and its wearing out hence I wanna change the whole thing since for future easily just change the blade. Thats why I need to know where to buy the parts since its not from borneo
Inxpire Neutral Newbie August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 Dont think need buy the whole wiper, normally is the blade that give problem. Usually i change the blade only. Silicone Blade cost about $10-$13(Grey colour, 2pic. But only saw 500mm,550mm & 600mm only. Better still, it provide a thin layer of 'rain X' effect on the windscreen when new and they are more lasting than those rubber type.
Bieffe 2nd Gear August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 I hate rain-X once it starts to wear off ur wiper sure jerk one!
Mysupercar Neutral Newbie August 1, 2007 Share August 1, 2007 (edited) Your Axio should be quite New so fast need to change wiper? You must be using it quite frequently. For my sports car, I'm using Rain Act from Waxco, it's so called "Invisible-Wipers" that when you travel at high speed in heavy rain, You Don't Need to turn on wiper at all. Basically the strong wind plus the oil layer will shield away the rain water. and you only apply it once in a month. Check it out! It's cool. Pisces69 6th Gear August 2, 2007 Share August 2, 2007 Those wiper "arms" r all of different angles & lengths. It is not advisable to use those from other models cos then it might not wipe properly. U usually only change the part with the blades & these normally can fit any car as they come with small adapters to clip on the part that connects to the arms. I don't u'stand what u mean "and its wearing out". They can last a lifetime. Only the rubber strip wears out & r sold already mounted on its attachment. If u r not a technical kind of guy, go down to the regular meet-ups at Bishan & i'm sure many of the bros there can help u out with your problem. ↡ Advertisement
