Emils 2nd Gear July 28, 2007 Share July 28, 2007 (edited) I'm thinking of getting an in-car navigation system/GPS as I have been getting lost too often. Figured that it might save me more in the long run by cutting down the needless petrol spent in going in a merry-go-round. (Sometimes I feel like I'm like a shark. Have to circle the location a few times before I zero in on the actual spot. ) Anyway, thinking if any of the bros here can share more info. like: - Where can I shop for a in-car navigation system system? Any recommendations? - What are the more popular and reliable models, and how much do they cost roughly? I was told that Diracc has installed the navigation system in their latest Civic range and the navigation panel stows away into the dashboard when the car engine switches off. Sounds cool. Anyone knows how to get a similar system installed? Thanks in advance for any advice! Edited July 28, 2007 by Emils ↡ Advertisement
Nigel Neutral Newbie July 28, 2007 Share July 28, 2007 Hi TS, Think you get just get a PDA phone with GPS system. Thinks its cheaper this way and most impt you can use it to check mail, surf net and use it as a normal phone.

Atlantis80 1st Gear July 28, 2007 Share July 28, 2007 actually i prefer a standalone device so that if i change my phone in future, the gps stays with me. but that's just my personal preference. cost-wise, its more economical to get a pda phone, then load it with a map and gps receiver
