ITE launches diploma course in collaboration with German institute

SINGAPORE : Engineering graduates of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) can take up a technical diploma in machine engineering beginning next year.

 

Education Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam announced this at an ITE graduation ceremony on Tuesday.

 

The course, which is ITE's first diploma programme, is conducted in partnership with a German technical institute.

 

The manufacturing sector is getting more sophisticated, especially in machine design.

 

That is why the ITE has launched a technical engineer diploma (TED) in machine technology, in collaboration with a German technical institute which is located in the state of Baden-W

Much over due action , ITE should have embark on this long time ago to creat a group of Master Technicians that have good hand skill and work with thier heads. Hopefully they will introduce the Master Automotive Tech Dip in due course.

Ngee ann poly has offered degree program since last year i think.

My ITE attachment students are very good calibre. Just that their English results not good that's why cannot advance further into our evil school system.

Poly already offering degree programs to poly grads. A few of my frens n in such programs.

i teach part time in ITE before.. overall ok... hands on stuff they are quite good... once they deal with clients, some will have problems... i just hire a ITE student.. so far so good...
