Megadark 2nd Gear July 31, 2007 Author Share July 31, 2007 I think it depends whether if space allows the new plate or not. Originally wanted to do single row for front and back. In the end, had to do 2 rows in front because the metal bar originally attaching the plate in front is too troublesome to remove. As for the rear, had to maintain the plate at the original trapezium shape and the numbers in one row due to the unconventional indentation there. ↡ Advertisement

Megadark 2nd Gear July 31, 2007 Author Share July 31, 2007 Plate can be changed on the day the car was converted. I think LTA will give 3 days grace to change the plate. The first payment is also the last payment and I paid via cheque.
Hiphiphoray 6th Gear July 31, 2007 Share July 31, 2007 Oh ic...they dont have to wait for the cheque to clear ? Submit paper work + cheque payment = change plate. Megadark 2nd Gear July 31, 2007 Author Share July 31, 2007 they dont have to wait for the cheque to clear ? Nope. Submit paper work + cheque payment = change plate. All these can be done within the same day ? Yup. But many car plate shops need several hours to make the plate, so you may want to order before hand. Can pay in cash instead of cheque ? Sorry bro, dunno about that. You have to call LTA and ask about it.
Theman Clutched August 2, 2007 Share August 2, 2007 hi bro, You are lucky that your car was not damage when they cut the seal. To share with u guys my horrible experience: I was attempting to change my OPC to normal early this yr, but the car plate shop do not have the service to remove my seal. Then i search high and low, finally found a workshop in Sin Ming, they charge me $10 (actually was introduce by another workshop beside). When they attemp to cut my rear no plate, the stupid guy accidentally cut my rear boot result in a 7cm X 0.5cm scarr near my rear no. plate area. When I noticed this, i ask the guy nicely, below is the conversation: Me: Uncle, u scratch my car lei Workshop guy: Ya lah, accident mah Me: Can touch up or not Workshop guy: Can, $80 loh Me: What? but is your fault what? Workshop guy: I know is my fault, I said sorry already wat. Me: How can like that, you cause the damage, then you still wantme to pay for your damage ? workshop guy: OK loh, then u sue me loh, make police report loh...!!! Then he walk away. Win liao loh, I think even i make a police report, the police is not able to take any action. Just admit i am so bad luck loh.... Then I live with this scarr in my car. Besides chuan heng at blk 33 sin ming, any other recommended workshop with reasonable price for the plates and seal removal service? Many thanks. ↡ Advertisement
