Dynaudio WLQ on active setup

I am considering the Dynaudio 7" components with softdome tweeters.

Understand that they have different passive crossovers, 240, 250 and 280.

and passive crossovers play a big role in Dynaudio.

If i were to run the Dynaudio components in active thru an Audio Control 6XS, to do the task of Active crossover, how will it sound?

Anyone done this or heard a setup like this?

Any comments appreciated

Thanks

hahahah.. no more, got the last.

You remember my fren you met at Bishan?

He took the 5.25, i took the 6.5.

My amp rating is 80x4 @ 12v, 100x4 @14v.

somehow i think its abit underpowered, but gimme some more time to run them in first.

Anyone know how the tarantulas 125x4 @ 12v perform?

Anyone seen a human reign being sold here?

Hmm....

I'm not very sure about the tarantulas....

Last Tuesday, I went to Pin Liang and asked about the CDT. They have the 2 types of CDT. One model cost $300+ and the other cost $600+. I'm not very sure about the model of the CDT.

cheers

As far as i know, CDT has quite a wide range.

Cambria

Classics

High Definition aka Pros

Eurosport aka Competition

Can say one thing for sure,

They are far far ahead of my Boston Pros 6.4x

But then again, technology is about 10yrs old for the Bostons.

Possbility that i am now in the market for another amp.... more powerful one to drive my CDT Eurosport

BTW, where is Pin Liang?

Pin Liang is between Concorde Hotel and Great World City. U drivee around the carpark and U cant miss them.

Their URL is www.pinliang.com.sg

My fren went to do audio and alarm installation(including fuse, RCA and power cables, fixing the rear speaker and tuning). It costs him about $400+ and it is a half-day job. My friend's Alpine HU has 1 pair of RCA output. Hence, it is required to use the "Boss Hi-output kit" (I think) where by my sony HU has 4 RCA output.

It seems like your HU has 5 RCA output.

Aiyah, this friday... I'm not free otherwise I could hear your setup.

cheers

My HU has 3 pair RCA output.

So, retired my AudioControl Preamp.

Decided to use the "audiophile grade" crossovers on the amps instead,

found that it gave me more flexibility in tuning my system.

I tune and set the gains and crossover points in the system myself.

sure buddy,

system is still raw,

installed it only yesterday.

Seems like i got another problem now

Need another amp, this one sounds like its not driving the speakers 100%

Will try to make it to the meetup tomorrow, if i am not too tired after a whole day.
