I used to drive the first gen Getz. Not too bad a car but pretty fuel thirsty as mine was 1.3A, during that time no 1.4A. Cheap to maintain but the interior material was bad, mine started to feel sticky as if the plastic stuff starting to melt.

now u want new getz also dun have already. the getz have a old hyundai engine platform. do you know that the batch of 2003 onwards hyundai cars really damn jiak you. 1.3A is an example. its using the Old SOHC technology. in my opinion if you want to buy hyundai cars can go for other cars from Verna onwards. This is where the korean refine their engines. btw is the engine CC is a consideration? If no, can always consider hyundai avante.

hi fellow bros. i've decided to buy a Getz OPC and i intend to go to the car showroom this weekend. however, i still cant decide whether to get 1.4a or 1.6a. will have to carry full load usually (which means 5 adults including driver). the price difference between the 2 cars are abt $500 (i think.. anyone can cfm?) but im worried abt the FC. isit worth getting the 1.6 cos of the extra power and ABS? wad more difference are there b/w the 2 cars? also, wad freebies should i ask from my SE? thanks in advance for your advices! [sweatdrop]

Well, imho since is usually taking full load, 1.6A will be better, since is just $500 more, and you will never know when the extra power is needed.

is having no airbag a problem? all getz in sg doesnt come with airbags right?

is it possible to install them? eg, change the steering wheel to one with airbags...

What about Getz 1.1M, is it good and fuel efficient?

It depends on your need actually. IMO, 1.1 better to get a manual rather than a auto. 1.1 just nice for 2 person. if you planning to overload (always 5 adults) than a 1.1 is no for u. Fc wise will be better. But manual transmision will be better else

will be underpowered.

Dont think you can install after market airbag?! [:/] This car dont have airbag and ABS for 1.4L and below. If you prefer a car comes with safety features, maybe you can consider other cars.

I believe we only got 1.6M here, not 1.6A?

Yup You are right Bro. Hyundai really made improvements on Verna onwards where they incoporated the CVVT into Verna 1.6.

yeah.. can consider the verna onwards range of hyundai cars. For mine opinion, avante is a good choice.
