Any bros here know where to get a compatible remote control for Alpine W200 or W202? The unit does not come with a remote so have to buy one.

bro,

Normal standard package should come with remote control. I purchase W200 and its come with remote control and iPod cable. Please ask the shop to provide those goodies.

Cheers.

Are you sure? The manual only states this, no remote control. According to the manual, the remote control is an optional item that's purchased separately

Hi Bro, not re-tuned yet. I just switched to a 12" sub, so gotta give it some time to run in before tuning.

I would have thought that your former sub-woofer was more than sufficient for your setup!

Anyway, to properly run in the sub you would have to cross the LP a bit higher, and play at a louder volume than the actual level you would be normally listening to - and for about 30 to 50 hours at the very least depending on the sub you got. [sweatdrop]

What new sub did you get?

Thanks for the advice.

The new sub is in my signature...exactly same sub as my previous one, except it's upgraded to 12". Managed to get a kind bro to trade his new 12" which he kept in his storeroom with my 10" [laugh]

According to my tuner, 12" will sound smoother as it can go lower, 10" may sound a bit hard.

May I ask what is the model of your remote? It's written on the remote itself..RUE-xxxx.

The 12" would definitely be able to reproduce lower frequencies better than the 10" - the signature/characteristics of the sound would be more or less the same as both of the subs are of the same line.

Dunno the specs of the 12" and the your amp powering it but the power requirements of the combination would also play a very important part in how the sound would be. (Inviting a debate here from Hyun - Urban myth on power requirements / control etc. hehee [:p] )

You coming tonite to the meetup? Should be at McPherson Nasi Padang shop.

My 12w3v2 is a DVC bridged to 2ohms...my amp is rated 300w rms @ 2ohms and 394w rms @ 2ohms on birth cert. [;)]
