Typhoonz 4th Gear July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 You must trace the ant's path... If not just pour on the place where there are most ants lor... At least can deter them for a while?

Apollo 1st Gear July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 nope, the trail has a source. try to get hold of those smell-less insecticide and spray to ur windows and entrance doors as well as kitchen window, rubbish chute for 1 week continuous.
Madsumm 1st Gear July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 me will look for source... go buy the small ant poison.. about 5 in 1 tube. cheap... $2-$3 a tube hear the source.. open up 1 ant poison.. (dry flaky ones), and put it near the entrance with trail to where the rest of the poison is. Give it some days... Then u will realize all antz gone... done this a few places from my parent's to my place. Worked like charm.. No insecticides.. ant poison is eco friendly.. Gabriel 1st Gear July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 hmmm..seems like me onli 'worked on' one species of them ants so far Quote depends on species of ants though... some will just find another way around. Best is to poison the hive.
Gabriel 1st Gear July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 hmmm..dettol...interesting Quote water is not effective. the best of the best is dettol. becos it will break up the chemical trail set by the ants. this is to be done in a long continuous line so they wun hv idea to use it by getting ard the loop. mopping the floor with dettol type chemical will help also then using those flowery scent type. Strawberrypink Neutral Newbie July 16, 2007 Author Share July 16, 2007 maybe i shld spend time following the trail and see where the source it but its difficult coz these antz come in 4 to 5 in a grp and their trail is almost difficult to trace
Kb27 Supersonic July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 I used to have those pellets but can't seem to find any on sale now. The only ones I found was sold in Cold Storage in a plastic container type. I bought the Baygon, supposed to have sugar and protein coated. First day, the ants came and eat, they died. The next day the ants got smart and stop eating the bait. Now the bait is useless. I wonder where to buy those pellets now.
Strawberrypink Neutral Newbie July 16, 2007 Author Share July 16, 2007 suagr and protein coated?
Kb27 Supersonic July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 That's what the Baygon label says: "Double Control Ant Bait" But the ants got smart and avoid the bait now. Maybe I try to change the form a bit and see what happens. Last time, I got some Chinese brand type of bait, the little pellets type. The ants would carry it their nest and the entire nest will get wipe out.
Droll Neutral Newbie July 16, 2007 Share July 16, 2007 what you do is blow on the ants and they will scurry away. blow a bit more and agitate them and they run back to their nest. then can see where they are going. if there is no food in your place, check for dead insects etc. basically if there is food source somewhere their foraging will be reinforced in your house and they will keep coming back. so must make 100% sure nothing left behind. i wonder if you can buy synthetic ant pheromone and put it in a circle will the ants walk in a circle until they die of exhaustion? Ccjna Clutched July 24, 2007 Share July 24, 2007 Quote My place also got ant n spider problem. When I moved in, there were a lot of them n I bought the baits to kill them n their nest. It worked but recently these ants start appearing again. Not as many but 2 or 3 of them wondering ard the dining table, kitchen n coffee table although no food source available. Now killing them on sight wif my fingers. Spiders a plenty also. I always vacuum the corners of the house but then another spider will take over the spider I killed. Its a neverending problem. I hope to keep some lizards to eat away these pests!!! But my wife hate lizards, I love catching them n touch their soft soft skin n use them to scare the ladies!!! Dont know why such cute lizards, ppl so scared of them. Me hates cockroaches & lizards so much & aso scared of them. Usually when i see them, i will boil hot water to pour onto them. Serve them rite to enter my hse w/o my permission. I've rememebered that there was 1 time when i was staying in my previous hse, there gt 1 lizard which is quite big & stayed in my hse for 5yrs. This lizard is smart enough. Seems like the lizard will knw when i will be at home or nt. Tried to catch this lizard for 5yrs aso but whenever we tried to catch it, it will "run" back to its nest. Finally there was 1 fine day, i've finally caught this stupid lizard by hot water.
Typhoonz 4th Gear July 24, 2007 Share July 24, 2007 How you want these pests to ask your permission ah bro? Anyway, even if they were to ask, I'll have a pot of boiling water ready as a welcome gift... ↡ Advertisement
