For most of the luxury marques, the price in Malaysia is higher than Singapore - eg the entry level Merc S-class is about S$300k but costs about RM800k over the Causeway...

Moral of the story. Use your car until it dies and crumbles. The more you sell, overtrade to get a new car, the more you bleed.

Very few people will drive their car for the entire 10 years COE life cycle.

i wonder is there anybody that will drive their car for 10 years and then top up the COE to keep on driving?

I think few cars with exception of Benzes can last more than 10 years w/o looking like garbage.

 

Hmm... my car has 7 more years to go. i might renew the COE if it doesn't look like garbage [laugh]

u should see our comfort toyota crown cab in Myanmar.. felt at home once i'm inside the cab [laugh][laugh] ..still got the COMFORT plastic tag on the dashboard...

but dun forget, they get to keep the car for eternally...

 

ours... every 10yr u need to renew... wahhaha n road tax go up extra 50%

 

so if u calculate... theirs is still cheaper....wahhaah... can u imagine u need to pay 100k to renew ur COE... wahahaha
