damping and spring height are two different things.

 

if it's rubbing with full load, your springs are too short (or you are carrying too much weight).

 

dampers control the rate of damping (aka rate of spring return) so that your car does not "bounce"

seriously, if you just changed, go back to the shop and demand a replacement.

 

by the way, bounce means when the car is stopped, press down hard on the rear boot and release quickly. it should only bounce once. there is definitely movement.

they quoted me S$350 the last time (labour extra)

 

if it's really a week old and cash&carry, i say it's a good deal. but that depends on the labour costs as well... coz seller may want you to fork out for swap or labour. do you maths.

Emailed them le... $370 in total inclusive installation and alignment. Abit on the high side but at least no need to keep waiting.

mine is vogtland springs, red in colour..

my koni are the allen key adjustable..

already adjusted till very hard..

tyres 14in r65

just 2 adult passengers..

took out the spare tyre in my boot already..

so nothing really heavy inside my boot..

the right combination for starlet R14 should be 60 and not 65. [dizzy]
