Hidayat Neutral Newbie May 23, 2003 Share May 23, 2003 Used to own a Daewoo Racer II Auto. Had cornering problems, irritating droning sound during high speeds. Other than that, a sound car. As silent as a Toyota when idling! If not mistaken, Daewoo cars are powered by Opel engines which explains its robustness. The Tacuma is a refreshing change but with that kinda price, rather get the renault scenic. Anyway, me driving the trajet and I found out that the trajet was designed by Hyundai of Germany. ↡ Advertisement
Hidayat Neutral Newbie May 23, 2003 Share May 23, 2003 I heard about the probelms with the trajet transmission but if I am not mistaken, I think they were referring to the manual version.

Ben123 Neutral Newbie June 13, 2003 Share June 13, 2003 I own a 2 year old Daewoo Lanos II 1.5 Auto. Fuel consumption is on the low side at 9.5 km/l. So far, I have no major problem with the car except for an end-of-life battery.

Maverick88 Neutral Newbie January 29, 2004 Share January 29, 2004 Hi, I just bought a Lanos II 1.5A the mileage is about 9.2k/litre. Is it the best it can go? Have you go to the agent for servicing? Is there a better and cheaper workshop for daewoo other than the agent??

Maverick88 Neutral Newbie February 12, 2004 Share February 12, 2004 I am thinking of going to Comfort automotives after my warranty expired. I heard they are quite cheap. I went servicing Starauto charge me $42 for labour to change oil, about $80 for fully synthetic. How about your experience??
Hoshi8 1st Gear February 13, 2004 Share February 13, 2004 Isn't daewoo being bought over by GM???...so if it is now GM daewoo...it must be quite ok...GM is a respectable company...just my opinion.
Worker Neutral Newbie February 15, 2004 Author Share February 15, 2004 If you are in the East , you can try Poh Loon Auto Service located at the CALTEX Station in Frankel Avenue. He is an ex Starsauto employee , lots of Certs hanging on the wall. Prices are standard and since he uses Caltex products , any price plans or offers are also available . Nice old man , tries to be nice to his customers . Call up 1 day in advance , just to be sure . Tel 62453403 BTW I have no connections with him or his shop , just been there twice so far . Eskimo Neutral Newbie February 16, 2004 Share February 16, 2004 I have only done 1 servicing with Starsauto at 1000km. I think they charge me $30+ for the mineral oil that time. Will be going for second service later this week, after 6000km. Comfort Automotive is also in my list, well, let me know if you have good experiences with them. For that price I get oil change and wheel balancing at other workshop. ↡ Advertisement
