Petrolnut Neutral Newbie May 10, 2003 Share May 10, 2003 i'm driving a '92 Sunny and has faced the above problem since i got the car 2 months back. The film can only be wiped off using glass cleaner but it will come back after a few days. Has anyone faced the same problem ? ↡ Advertisement

Virus 2nd Gear May 12, 2003 Share May 12, 2003 Could it be place where you park near to some factory that release some kind of chemical??
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 12, 2003 Share May 12, 2003 It could be the vaporization of vinyl dressing used on your dashboard. I have the same experience and just have to clean the inside of the windscreen every week when I wash my car

Petrolnut Neutral Newbie May 13, 2003 Author Share May 13, 2003 yes, i park my car in the open, both at home & at work...
Redliner_sg Neutral Newbie May 13, 2003 Share May 13, 2003 Then i think its becos of the interior plastic in the car getting melted, and the moisture in your plastic evaporating and condensing on your windscreen. Saw this in a documentary sometime back. Try and experiment. If you park under the shade, you will not get this. Park in the sun and you will get it. Evidence is that your gear knob, and steering wheel feels very oily and smooth, like someone applied moisturiser to it ↡ Advertisement
