Pisces69 6th Gear July 7, 2007 Share July 7, 2007 Yes I know. That's why I prefer to let a professional do it. U can improvise a bush removal & installation tool with a long bolt, nut & washer & a vice clamp. Also the spanners & such to remove the arms but u must have all these on hand which I don't have. On top of all this, the job can get very messy & your hands will b covered with thick & heavy grease, oil & dirt. U might also get cuts & scrapes when u r working with such heavy tools. Pay some $$$ & get it done properly is what I say.

Weiming 1st Gear September 19, 2010 Share September 19, 2010 Probably can last longer than you decide to keep your ride ;) No point changing to PU unless your stock bushings are worn out (like after 15+ yrs) or you track often and need something durable and stiffer. Kungfu Clutched October 21, 2010 Share October 21, 2010 (edited) are the attached all the bushings we can find in our normal car (not those ultra sport type)? typically, how long can these bushings or rubbers last - more than 5 years.....any indications/symptoms/signs of them go out that we can notice? is it worth to change those HP bushings/rubber for daily road use? Fuelsaver Supercharged August 6, 2012 Share August 6, 2012 hi all is there anything such as strut bar bushing? i noticed there's freeplay between bolt & strut mounting hole; no matter how tight still will move within freeplay rite? was thinkin if add PU / hard rubber bushing would improve handling. Is there a grease nipple for you to in hand pump the grease into the space between the bush and the bushing bore. Almost all cars after 80"s the bushing don't have grease nipple. You mech should have grease the bushing lightly before installation , with high pressure grease.
Wildfaye29 Turbocharged May 9, 2015 Share May 9, 2015 That I'm not too sure, they did use the supplied grease when installing but it was washed out due to heavy rain. I have a total of 4 bushes on my front control arms and 2 on my front anti roll bar. They used WD40 to spray in subsquently and lasted about 1 month, again washed out due to heavy rain. I need a long lasting solution. :) ↡ Advertisement
