Ok, managed to digged up all my old auto service tools catalague from Japanese , European and US suppliers, this what I managed to find. Frankly never have I notice this tyre gauge that come with a knurled thumb screw that act as a chuck. The catalogue has aged and is yellowish - probably more than a decade [laugh]

Places I know have this service, Stamford Tyres & South East Tyres (Kaki Bukit). I'm sure other places provides this service too, you just have to inquire.

After switching over to nitrogen, you still have to refill once in a while. Thus when choosing a source, find one which is convenient for you to get to and take note of their operating hours. For myself, I would prefer to do that (also tyre rotation) on Sundays.

Stamford tyres and autosaver have nitrogen but unsure of the charges.I know autosaver do pump nitrogen for all cars servicing.I'm still skeptical about it though mechanic told me it's lighter.Does anyone feel any difference?

Thanks. Think for convenient, will stick to normal air. Coz, to top up at autobac or stamford sometimes quite difficult, especially there are long queues for servicing by other cars.

Personally i have tried nitrogen air before.. It really give u the light and smooth feeling when driving.. But at a price..

Thanks all for input. :)

Nah.. nitrogen cannot make u lighter or float... whoever the mechanic is.. i think he is taking you for a run.

Nitrogen is pretty stable. Stable to temp change I mean.

So, if you driving in hot or cold weather, due to stability in temp, its pressure will not differ much.

Its inert gas too, so it will not in a way make your rubbers "limp" keke

Stamford does have nitrogen, so does South East Tyres.

If you change tyres with them, Stamford does top ups for free I think. For rest, I belief its $20? If you do tyre rotations with the, I think nitrogen pumps are free too.

I've been using nitrogen forever liao. Its indeed stable. No need to pump for weeks.
