Helping a fellow motorist? More like trying to unload a dead weight. laugh.gif

Anyway, good for you to let him try. Doubt he might bite and even if he bit, he might not want it thanks to what everyone is telling him here.

But the strange thing is......heard that MI is putting this thing into their STi cars.

Now I'm wondering.... if it really doesn't work, why would MI pay to have these put inside.... [sweatdrop] Is there something here that we don't know?

Could it be like the petrol grade argument..... some don't feel any diff between 95 vs 98RON, whereas for cars tuned for higher output .... will definitely feel the diff upon using higher grade fuel. [sweatdrop]

Are you sure? I really doubt the effectiveness of this product.

OT...Anyway, performance cars are tuned to use RON98, can't use RON95, otherwise knocking will set in and the ECU will retard the ignition to prevent knocking and thus, loss of power.

Well.... the fella from the company selling this told me about MI buying and installing it into their STis. He is driving a WRX...........

He even challenged me to go find out from MI if I didn't believe him. I don't think this is a lie, else it'll be easiest thing to find out.

People at MI should get their heads examined. These catalysts can't change the petrol RON ratings at all. It is already proven not to work.

These are 2 of the claims of Broquet:

Fuel Savings (Up to 30%)

Reduced Exhaust Emissions (Up to 90%)

If this is so easy, car companies do not have to crack their brains to meet the tough emission requirements and fuel saving requirements.

If it is true that MI is installing Broquet in the STi... I am beginning to wonder if the people in MI has any "affiliation" with the people selling Broquet...

i think after reading the posts here, most of us will be more skeptical about this type of thing.

of course, if you are the type who have loads of $$ to burn, then no harm installing it.
