Hi guys,

Just installed Defi gauges today. Would like to check with you all what are the normal operating temperatures?

Cruising -->???

Idling -->???

Hard revving -->???

The water temp actually reached 100degree celsius once momentarily. Is this normal?

I'm wondering could it be because of the coolant? Cos when the mechanic installed the water adaptor alot of water poured out and he only topped up with plain water. I asked whether he should be adding coolant mixed with water he said not neccessary and just topped up with water. Is this right?

What is the normal operating temperature for oil?

What should the warning be set at for water temp, oil temp and oil pressure?

Thank you!!! [smallcry]

Nothing surprising, because water cooling system is a pressurised circuit at 0.9kg/cm2 for Jap and 1kg/cm2 for euro cars.

You might wan to replace yr coolant to german brand to try out.

The more important readings u need to monitor would be the oil temp and pressure as water temp is normally part of the car's instrumentation...

Oil temps should normally not exceed 120 - 130C...
