If not people can buy similar car, one normal, the other weekend.

Wife driving one...the hubby driving weekend, but with wife's licence plate number.

If you notice, police never check your engine block or chassie number on the road.

So the chances of you being found out is rare.

The marked pin is to mentally prevent owners from cheating.

Its a seal with unique serial numbers tag to the individual OPC. [nod][nod][nod]

This tag must be "unbroken" or at all times. Tampering with it will get into a bigger SHIIT than tampering with OPC coupons. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

My mechanic once told me that it's connected to the main bone of the vehicle's structure. If you ganna accident and need to change plate, have to goto LTA and ask them to remove it. True or not, I dunno [sweatdrop]

It is true. There is back plate that is behind the bumper. Removed mine at a workshop and saw them do it. Not a simple task.

Slightly off-topic:

Does this mean that if we (OPC) were to want/need to replace out number plates, it will cost us quite a bit to remove and re-install this nut?

The plate I got was really 'cheap' look. Just the letters and numbers on a red metal plate... No plastic borders or anything like that.
