Jho0001 Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 My wife just got a Yaris and considered all the cars you listed. To be honest, they're pratically all the same, they are just small hatchbacks, no major performance and A - B town cars....it's just a question of personal preference. Verve 1st Gear June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 i beg to differ, similar performance and the likes yes, but they are quite different in style, interior layout and etc. so in that sense its the same and different. jazz older model while the swift is more recent. feel that jazz more of a ladies car. end of the day its buying what you like - and of course with cars in sg being so expensive at a reasonable price point too. Jusnel 6th Gear June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 have u or wife test drive already? better to test drive as much as u want on all possible models, before deciding. test driving will make u feel the handling of the car better
L3arning Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 You could take a look at mitsubishi colt which comes in 3 versions, the typical basic version, the sports version, and there's also the CVR which i own, or Colt Ralliart Version R. Fast sporty and tredny looking car. Friendly and dedicated sales executives as well. If you wanted to consider it i could recommend u to my sales agent. Bought mine at cycle and carriage from a guy called Nigel.
Normankok Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 Can consider Fiat Grande Punto. I have chnage my car from Sunny to Punto. More powerful and enjoyable to drive. Check out Fiat website for more details especially on the safety of the car. Test Drive and feel the difference of a continental car. you will not regret... Yaloryalor 5th Gear June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 I like Jazz but its very old model liao even thought it has face lift some time ago. Few weeks ago, my colleague was also also looking for a smaller CC car for herself. In the end she booked the new Vios.

Frankly say, a small car for lady, above mentioned not much different IMHO, if price is not your major concern, go for Jazz honour AD, good FC, Jap made...ect
Picanto 3rd Gear June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 avoid the FIT unless you can find a good PI.if not, buying from a problematic PI will bring you a lot of bad experience.
Jazzboy Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 I recently take delivery of a Jazz and like it so far. Have considered: - a) Fit but personally feel that buy from Kah Motor more reliable. b) Suzuki Swift (my frn owns one) but becos internal and boot space smaller than Jazz although at the time of buying, swift is cheaper. c) Picanto (test drive one) but overall feel i don't like. d) Yaris but boot space smaller and made in Thailand. Ultimately, it depends on which car you/your wife like i.e. feel, performance, price after narrowing down your options.
Milgram Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 I am planning to get a small car for my wife...Was thinking of getting a Honda Fit or Jazz or Suzuki Swift or Nissan March or other similar small cars... any owners of those cars can provide me some great recommendations? For something not too common and yet provide a good drive, I'd recommend the 1.3 Suzuki Swift..but remember to get the one that comes with the tachometer! Jazz/Fit a good car but way too common IMHO....
Ahsiong Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 How about Perodua Kenari if you are really thinking small car? it seems to have quite a high headroom and also the boot seems quite sizeable for a car that small. if not the next step up just a bit, picanto may be a good choice after comparing with chery QQ, chervolet spark. if want something a bit bigger, then FIT or JAZZ will a good choice with a big boot space and good FC I must say. Else the new Vios seems to be pretty good if you want a sedan.

Hi, Your situation sounds like mine just 2 months ago. Since we have a sedan car, we were looking for a hatchback for our second car. Now, waiting to take delivery of our red suzuki swift next month. Would advise you to test drive the car for the handling. for our case, we made up our minds straight after testing the swift as we like to handling compared to the other makes. Happy shopping! Fuxion Neutral Newbie June 15, 2007 Share June 15, 2007 ermm if you got the budget maybe you can go for jazz? looks more sporty and good FC. Interior wise is quite big and the sits can fold down and level with the boot.. suzuki swift is nicer if you are getting the one that the sports version one... more powerful also... fit wise, i suggest you get jazz you wouldn't regret paying that few K more....
