Sure but the owmer have to take up a private summons to do so. So legal cost, time and much effort will be requried.

 

Basically since a car scratcher is a loser in life ( which I am currently having a small debate with a certain forumer in the Complaint section! ) so the objective is not to penalise him against what the penal code has to offer but to make him pay for the damage and overall cost ( more long term effect on him!!)on this incident.

 

Suing him is the best option even if the authorities were to put a criminal charge ( after all it will only be a charge of Mischief..small fine only) on him. But whether he gets charged or not is really immaterial becos the cost of the damage is still not resolved.

This case managed to arrest him cos the rich benz owner install the CCD to hunt him down.

 

What about those who park in HDB MSCP with any form of protection or CCD?

Grr. those vandals really makes my heart boil. Why go scratch people car, something that people invest so much money in.

 

Are vandals jealous that they do not have a car, therefore they wanna go scratch people car, to see them suffer? Quite sadistic.
