I am also a victim before and I know how much it hurts to see you new ride kana scratched.. [knife]

I really wonder what makes them do such acts?? Bored?? Most of the time, we thought it's wondering kids!

Makes me wonder too why would a Army officer want to show his balls to the public?? hur.gif

To prove that he got balls to show lor.. laugh.gif

Yeah, he should show his balls to the enemy instead. And you do not have to wonder why our Singapore law let him off with just $2.5k!

Now what if this Hougang guy is also an elite??

The family of that guy is the biggest casualty if he is the Sole breadwinner, his kids is going to suffer. Imagine their classmates knows and goes around teasing them having a ITCHY hand father, oh no, thats gona hurt them tremedously. But on the other hand, we are so mad at the guy. How? [sweatdrop]

when a person is wrong, the person is wrong.

only pity him when its due to circumstance, not when he has a choice.

the thing is, u must see which car he scratched.

scratching a Merc S-class is different from scratching a chery QQ. get wat i mean.

Since Mr Ang already has a picture of him, should just post on the web / circulate via e-mail... sure to 'publicise' the culprit one ... [sly]

As a pseudo lawyer,

I've this to comment

Charges for this bugger are as follow:

1) Outrage of modesty to a mercedes S-class aka jessica alba

2) Attempt violence on the body with many scratches found

3) Unprovoked acts of harassments.

7 years jail is too little.

If you scratch once only on one car, maybe can still think of the circumstances and pardon him. but he scratches multiple cars multiple times. this is unpardonable!

Vandal caught scratching car in Hougang

By Wong Mun Wai, Channel NewsAsia | Posted: 12 June 2007 2104 hrs

SINGAPORE: Tired of being victims of a vandal, Hougang resident Ang Shuenn Guan and his wife decided to set up a camera to capture evidence.

And it worked - one video clearly showed a hand running beside a car.

The person who was filmed vandalising the resident's car later confessed to the police.

"My wife showed his photo to him and asked if he recognised the person. He was surprised and asked [how] we got his photo. My wife asked him what he did to our car. He said he did nothing. After that, I said everything is recorded by closed circuit TV. Then he confessed in front of the police," said Mr Ang.

The next morning, a letter was left on the couple's windscreen.

The letter-writer had offered to settle the matter out of court and compensate the couple for the damage.

The letter from the culprit's wife addressed to the Ang's read: "I am pleading with you to give our family a chance".

The letter is dated Monday, and continues with her hoping to "settle this matter among ourselves".

The offer does not address the damages done to other cars which have also been scratched.

Mr Ang, who called the MediaCorp News hotline, had to fork out about S$6,000 for repair works.

It is not the first time cars in this area have been scratched.

Victims say the vandal targets cars belonging to those who live in Block 636, Hougang Avenue 8. - CNA/yy

Cowardly vandals should be punished accordingly

& a precedent should be set by the courts.

The act is discreet, with intention to cause hurt,

not forgeting financial, time consuming & emotional stress.

I really hope justice will prevail.
