Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie June 4, 2007 Share June 4, 2007 Nope. The gps is windscreen mounted. The kit comes with a suction mount and then you clip your GPS onto the mount. Can be removed and mounted on anytime conveniently as it has quick release system. You have a choice of using the internal battery which can last about 8 hrs or power it via a cigarette lighter socket cable that comes with the package. Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie June 4, 2007 Share June 4, 2007 At that kind of price range, hard to get a decent Garmin GPS. You need at least 600+. Check the net for 2nd hand sets to get a feel for the price.
