Most welcome if you are interested and I needed the extra hands as much....

 

Decided to keep my car after the repair and bought myself some RaaMat insulation, will be fixing it this Sunday, June 3 morning....anyone...

Which areas of your ride will you be insulating? When I carried out the DIY insulation projects in the past, I topped it up with a layer of closed cell insulation foam sheet after pasting the bitumen sheet. This serves to enhance the insulation properties. One product you can consider.

The firewall, the chassis/floorboard and the doors. Taking out the old Sound Shield did previously, to put this in....oh..the last time Cola80 and Nets came.

 

You know where I stay, at the carpark. Hope it will not rain, if so, will be at the multi-storey carpark at the coffee shop outside my carpark entrance.

And I remember you mentioned insulating the wheel arcs is most effective!

Have you done that...did mine...try knocking the fender and you will realize that it sounded like knocking on concrete

Hi all, just to hijack thread ah ........ I got ard 6 sheets of bitumen based sound dampening materials left over from my previous car DIY project. Dun intend to do for my Octy, dun wanna add to the already heavy weight ...... Any one wanna get from me, I can let go @ cheap cheap price ....
