Where is bhp heading in 7 years time?

Hi all,

 

At the current state of car manufacturing technology, what do you think of the average bhp will be in 7 years time for a stock 1.6L & 2.0L "bread and butter" NA car?

i can foresee cars all start having lower BHP when cars start becoming Hybrid..

 

but why 7yrs from now?? and not 5yrs or 10yrs??

some of these BHP levels are rediculous. Seems like people got sucked into it. Damn when we buy our beloved expensive cars , we want more than just BHP.

All will be using 660cc TCed.

For NA cars, bhp per litre will drop due to the Euro V standards. You'll only be able to find huge or TC'd engines hitting above 150bhp. Normal everyday rides will get more and more puny outputs. Luxury or cars with "sporting" pretensions will get even more powerful. The bhp divide will get wider.

bhp numbers are just so theoretical.

 

the torque and power curves are so much more accurate.

 

whats the use when peak BHP comes at above 6k rpm and no useful torque below 4k rpm.

in 2-3yrs time, u'll see more n more 1.4 turbo cars coming out
