It was on my shopping list for tyres last year but Pxh Hxng only have those Made In Thailand ones hence dropped the idea and went for Dunlop Sports Maxx as per recommended by some Bros here [nod][nod][nod]

If F1 have those Made In Germans ones, might consider to try in my next change [:)]

Previously experience aquaplaning on my Yokohama ASPEC DB, really scary and switch to Eagle F1, no such experience since. [thumbsup]

The wet grip is superb, except that it is a bit noisy.

Aspec DB is lousy on wet and so so on dry conditions [nod][nod][nod]

I have had them on my previous ride [:|] In the end, dump them off for Falken ST115 which is pretty [thumbsup] on wet but noisy like [hur][hur][hur][:p]

Would rather forsake quietness in return for better grip since tyres are the only holding material of our rides with the ground [:)]

Very true. For best of both worlds, may have to pay a higher premium (Quiet & Good Grip). Safety comes 1st.

I was on Eagle F1 for almost 11 months, finally dump it today for CSC3 as I couldnt bear the noise anymore and the progressively poor handling. Its good when new but as it passes the 15km mark it start to show its downside.

The only very good thing I find for F1 is its wet grip. I could go on the NSH around bending roads at high speeds and it could hold well. I think it is basically made to be a wet tyre.

CSC3 very expensive, my fren paid $400 plus per tyre. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

I am using 15" Eagle F1s now.. It was fun initially but now I am less certain of the tyres. Rethinking of using Eagle F1s again for my new ride. Anyone has used Bridgestones RE040 or RE050s before?

In that case, you should consider N2, as it loses pressure slower than the normal air.

Regards,

newbie question from me ... approx. how much to get all 4 tyres pumped with N2 ?

Experienced the same with Yoko Aspec Db and since then, noise is not an issue for me as safety is more important. I switched to Falken FK452 which is a little noisy too. My friend's wrx on eagle F1 experienced some floating above 200kph at NS highway.

I believe it is not the tyre that caused the floating effect on your friend's WRX, it's the car.

A car that is not designed to cruise at high speed will definitely feel floaty....try the Autobahn and you will see the VW, Audi, BMW and Merc cruising at more than 200 km/h with ease.

More if you're interested. China and Germany uses different compound too

China uses "2 Plies of Polyster Cord" while Germany uses "1 Ply of Rayon Cord".

Not sure what's the difference though.

There had been extensive interest on the Internet on F1 tyres.

Interestingly, the China F1 are E-Marked, which means they complies to European standard, while the Thai F1 are not E-marked.

Why do you want to try RE-050? For the price of the tyre, while it does give very good braking distance initially, it doesnt have the feel of the ultimate grip and the grip is not good after 20k.

You are better off choosing other tyres.

rayon is a natural fiber while poly is a man made

china one need 2 ply poly cos the roads there are long distant, poor quality and using a single ply tyre sure up lorry very fast

can read more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire_manufacturing

the top pic is china one right...seems the build quality not as good..cheapo materials
