Maybe you're right cos 1 tester mentioned when they heard in the presentation, the first impression he had is normal marketing tactics to promote their new tyre but after he went for the test drive then he realised what they said is true.

So far I find the noise level not as loud as my previous sp sport maxx or should say quite a quiet tyre, sidewall quite hard which I do like it, comfort is there and lastly which impressed me most was the initial feel on the tyre surface before it was fitted onto my rim.

so far since friday(5 days), on RE001 already hit 1200km, i guess my rubbers are pretty much run-in already, went in JB yesterday and tried along the S bends and U turn towards permas jaya,

grip and precision is there, but didn't try maxing it out. i think it's quite okay only. previously on eagle F1 at almost the same speed and momentum on the same bend tyres yelling for help already.

I'll pay $1 to get $1.20 worth of pdt NOT pay $1.50 to get $0.80 worth just bec of a logo or brand name. [;)]

I'll rather get the S204 than a Porsche Cayman, just as I'll rather get the new GTR than Porsche 911 Turbo. Half the price, twice the fun [laugh]

1 week of using 001s already, about 1600km done, stones and sand starts sticking up and rustle all over the mudguards, control wise i think it's gotten slightly more to my liking

but there's just one thing i still feel uneasy with, the opposite direction outer threads.

haven't tried it in the wet yet.. so i'm still 50% to this tyres..

Glad to know that you're complaining stones and sand starts sticking up and rustle all over the mudguards. Mine yet to run-in but already tested e-brake thanks to one private ambulance. [mad]

Only today then I realised something on my tyre and suddenly remember you said before "opposite direction outer threads". In the end become my lunch time talking point with the other 2 of my friends and 1 of them die die say it's possible to make the rear both tyre face the same direction and both the front tyre face the other direction. [hur]
